The Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization of concerned citizens who have developed resources for abused, abandoned, and neglected teens and children. With 5 homes on 11 acres, they’ve dedicated themselves to helping promote empowerment, growth, and healing by creating a sheltered, family-like environment. Here, children can stabilize, recover, and heal from their complex traumas. Once they are on the road to recovery, they can then transition into a permanent placement.
Each child has their own story, and no two cases are the same. Abuse and neglect can have far-reaching effects on children’s psyches, and many struggles with intense mental health ailments. At the Joshua House, they can experience a calming environment while they work through everything with trained professionals. All children deserve to be given the stability that they need to grow into happy, healthy young people.
