Affordit hires experienced fintech veteran Sean Franklin as program manager

Optimizing operations and increasing industry insight

TAMPA FLORIDA, JANUARY 21, 2020 — Tampa’s hottest financial technology (fintech) startup is growing its team with the addition of Sean Franklin as Program Manager. Franklin joins Affordit CEO and Founder Kevin O’Brien on their mission toward business-to-business credit optimization.

“Kevin and I share the same frustrations in the banking and finance sectors,” Franklin said. “We see the areas that are broken and realize that talk is nothing without action. Affordit will transform banking as we know it and help consumers and lenders alike.”

In college, Franklin worked at AT&T with the number-one vendor sales team in North America. He has since launched a successful real estate company, investing in commercial and residential properties. At his last position at GTE Financial, he ushered in the first and most successful branch Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) conversion. During Franklin’s tenure at the downtown Tampa location, funded loan volume doubled.

Franklin will be a critical part of Affordit’s rapid growth by providing valuable insights to the financial industry and overseeing critical development. Franklin will contribute to Affordit’s next generation platform that will be utilized by thousands of financial institutions across the country.

“We are very excited to have Sean as a team member of Affordit. His contributions will be instrumental to the continuation of our incredible growth,” O’Brien added.

Franklin is currently an active board member for Excelsior Charter School. He is a third-generation Tampa native where he lives with his wife and two sons.
